What's behind Pierpoint Outsourcing

***ANY SIMILARITY TO REALITY IS JUST A COINCIDENCE***
At that moment, I was really interested in doing something new; tired of rutine, old fashioned and boring colleagues at work, moving to a new and challenging project was something I really wanted to do; moreover, if I could work for a smaller company, I would be able to easily show my skills, receive raises and even manage people!
An aussie friend of mine, by that time was working for a company named Pierpoint, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I didn't know exactly was he was doing there, but I knew he was making about 2,000 USD per month, which is a huge wage for that fucking country. I was making a quarter of that amount by that time. He only said "we look up for potential candidates for the companies we work for, easy job". So I asked him if they were hiring people by that time, and if they were, if I could send my resume.
I sent him my resume finally, and I didn't get an answer... I was very dissapointed, since I thought I wasn't prepared at all for that job, but then I received a call from a girl (I never got to know who called me).
I received an email from another girl with the full story of somebody named "JESSE HAHN", who seemed to be very professional, an EXPERT in his field. I was asked to "fill urgently" 3 forms, which I thought they would be part of a hard process of recruiting.
An hour later, I receive another call, asking me to go asap to see him, the same day if possible, so I arranged a meeting that afternoon. (GOD! I shouldn't let this opportunity pass away once they call me!)
I enter a 90m2 office, located in Tucuman 713 1st floor. I meet one of the secretaries, who makes me wait for 5 minutes, and I finally meet JESSE.
He introduces himself, saying he (all his frases start with "I ...") is the COO of the company, finding candidates for FORTUNE 500 companies, with great success. I listen carefully, and then I was asked about my skills, background, etc. They never asked if I was studying, where, they just wanted to know how much I was making. He offers me about 30% more I was making, "BUT THIS IS JUST BASE, YOU CAN DOUBLE OR GET UP TO FOUR TIMES YOUR BASE FOR EACH HIRE YOU MAKE, YOU CAN MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU WANT". My eyes open hugely, I'm a hard worker, I could get a lot of money!!!
Being still confused, I left my stable and secure job, with an ascending career; this chance came at the right moment, this is what I wanted, good money, international environment, working for BIG companies in a BIG market.
So, I started at Pierpoint a week later. I met a lot of nice people... average, 24 years old. None of them had serious jobs before that; they just travelled around, did "Work and Travel USA", or foreigners who had good jobs in their countries and they did this job because they don't have a legal status in Argentina (YES, PIERPOINT HIRES ILLEGAL PEOPLE).
I got a tiny desk, with a LCD monitor, otherwise I couldn't even place a sheet of paper on it.
Still, I thought "Americans, practical and efficent, that's why they don't need any space on their desks", but I started to think I made the WORST move ever getting in that company.
I met my supervisor, a cool guy, from who I learnt a lot, and then the other people from the office. German, Spanish, American, English, Argies, many nationalities in the same floor.
So, "TRAINING" started. Logging in a job board (MONSTER, DICE, LINKED IN, HOTJOBS, etc) and putting "PLUMBER" or other shitty position they look for companies such as AIMCO, SYMANTEC, CLOROX, FUJITSU, SONY ERICCSON, etc. Repeating a stupid script "ARE YOU KEEPING YOUR EYES AND YEARS OPEN TO JOB OPPORTUNITIES?", then asking few questions about their skills and submitting the info to the hiring manager. EASY JOB!!! I was close to make a fortune and save enough money to buy a Nano, an iBook, and travel!
So, I looked for my first position; I got to know it wasn't very easy; the position had been open for 4 months. I ask a colleague a question, a frustrated bitch who all she knew was to be cynical and naughty, but she answered "you must know that". Oops, I was on my own. So I did what I thought I should do, and kept working, logging in Monster. I get a message from the PIERPOINT'S OFFICIAL IM SYSTEM: SKYPE, which of course I knew how to use saying: YOU UNLOGGED A COLLEAGUE FROM URUGUAY. After my apologies, he answers "DON'T DO THAT AGAIN". The bastard, named HANS, was working in the Uruguay office, which was opened to AVOID TAXES IN THE UNITED STATES.
Avoiding taxes is something they do very often, for ex. when they opened me an account in Uruguay to avoid transferring the money in Argentina and avoid social taxes.
MR HAHN also travelled to Uruguay weekly and brought the money himself to Argentina, of course NEVER DECLARING IT.
They promised paying on the 5th, they paid on the 10th, and moreover, for my surprise, I received $1500 in my account, when I was promised $2500, who can that be?
Well, turns to be that the extra $1000 IS NEVER DECLARED, and is something to "HELP ME", since I would have to pay a lot of taxes for that. That's a fucking lie, that's because JESSE HAHN had to pay more taxes (that's what an Argentinian lawyer said).
After a week, I realised it was a TELEMARKETING job, since I had to call people, and try to "SELL" the position. Hey, I was supposed to be a "HR ANALYST" not a seller!!!! So I got 20 people hanging up daily their phones, upset in many cases, as I got a position in California, and the people called were in everywhere but California. I repeated the script as an idiot, for nothing...
Of course, HAHN charges each company 5,000 USD and pays at most 1500USD to each employee, so it's a hell out of a business for HIM and his partner MIGUEL TERRIZANO.
Finally, tired of receiving orders and suggestions from unexperienced colleagues, who hardly knew what a company is, and getting another payment 3 days later, I left that company.
BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THEM...NOT ONLY AS AN EMPLOYEE, BUT AS A CLIENT, AS YOU ARE HIRING UNPROFESSIONAL RECRUITERS, A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
